Listen to Official Versions of Two New LCD Soundsystem Songs - “Call the Police” and “American Dream
Reunited Band to Play Saturday Night Live This Weekend
May 05, 2017 LCD Soundsystem
LCD Soundsystem originally broke up in 2011, but they have since reformed, have played some shows, and are prepping a new album. This Saturday they are the musical guest on Saturday Night Live and yesterday frontman James Murphy announced that the band were releasing two new songs they’ve recently performed live, “Call the Police” and “American Dream,” likely the two they will be performing on SNL. Yesterday we posted a version of “Call the Police” as played on BBC Radio 6, with commentary from DJs and other musicians. Now we have the official studio version of the full 7-minute song, as well as “American Dream.” Listen to both below. Also below is another promo for this weekend’s SNL that features Murphy, along with guest host Chris Pine and regular cast member Kenan Thompson.
