Listen to the One of Two New LCD Soundsystem Songs - “Call the Police”
Reunited Band to Play Saturday Night Live This Weekend, Two Songs Being Released at Midnight
May 04, 2017 Saint Etienne
LCD Soundsystem originally broke up in 2011, but they have since reformed, have played some shows, and are prepping a new album. This Saturday they are the musical guest on Saturday Night Live and earlier today frontman James Murphy announced that at midnight tonight the band are releasing two new songs they’ve recently performed live, “Call the Police” and “American Dream,” likely the two they will be performing on SNL. Now “Call the Police” has been played on Steve Lamacq’s BBC Radio 6 show. Listen in the player below, which also features Lamacq discussing the song with Saint Etienne frontwoman Sarah Cracknell, Mark Morriss (frontman of ‘90s Britpop band The Bluetones), and British radio presenter Tom Ravenscroft (son of legendary DJ John Peel).
The songs will be released at midnight local time in whatever time zone you live in, meaning fans on the other side of the world will get to download them before us Americans.
