The Best Songs from the Best Albums of the Last Year

Jan 07, 2025

We have put together a Spotify playlist for our Top 100 Albums of 2024 list and it’s 10 hours long. It features at least one song from each of our Top 100 in the order the albums appear on the list, from our #1 album to our #100. Some albums are represented by multiple songs filtered throughout the list, especially albums from our Top 10, and there are also a few songs from some of the honorable mentions, 2024 albums some of our writers liked that didn’t quite make the Top 100.

There’s an embed of the playlist below, but Spotify embeds can only fit 100 songs. To hear all 144 songs, listen to the playlist on Spotify here.

I personally spent hours going through each of our Top 100 albums to pick out what I felt were the best songs and although the initial flow is in the order of where the albums appeared on our year-end list, I did take sequencing into consideration when working in additional songs to the main playlist and especially in terms of which songs were featured in the latter half of the mix, after the Oceanator song, and in which order they appeared.

Note: The one Top 100 album not represented in the mix is Cindy Lee’s Diamond Jubilee, as it’s simply not on Spotify.

Don’t forget to listen to the full playlist on Spotify here.
