Next week Garbage embarks on their “20 Years of Queer Tour,” in which they will play in its entirety their 1995-released excellent self-titled debut album (which featured the singles “Queer,” “Only Happy When It Rains,” “Stupid Girl,” “Vow,” and “Milk”). TORRES (aka MacKenzie Scott) will be the support act on the U.S. leg of the tour and in honor of that she has shared a new cover of Garbage’s “Special,” which is actually a song from the band’s 1998-released sophomore album. Scott’s take is rawer and more immediate than the original. Check it out below, followed by Garbage’s original and the upcoming tour dates for both TORRES and Garbage.
