British psych-rock band TOY are releasing a new album, Clear Shot, on October 26 via Heavenly. Previously they had shared its first two singles “Fast Silver” and “I’m Still Believing,” as well as a video for “I’m Still Believing” and a remix of “I’m Still Believing” by Cavern of Anti-Matter (the trio that’s led by Stereolab’s co-founder Tim Gane). Now the band has shared another song from the album, the mid-tempo “Clouds That Cover the Sun.” Listen below.
Clear Shot is the band’s third album, the follow-up to 2013’s Join the Dots, and was mixed by Chris Coady. Last year TOY also collaborated with Bat For Lashes (aka Natasha Khan) and producer Dan Carey as SEXWITCH. SEXWITCH’s self-titled album featured six covers of songs by artists from different countries, including two songs each from Iran and Morocco and one song each from Thailand and America.
