American Laundromat Records are releasing Say Yes! A Tribute to Elliott Smith on October 15. The Elliott Smith tribute album will feature newly recorded covers of Smith’s songs by Amanda Palmer, Jesu/Sun Kil Moon, Waxahatchee, Lou Barlow, J Mascis, Adam Franklin of Swervedriver, Tanya Donelly, and others. We recently were treated to Julien Baker‘s cover of “Ballad of Big Nothing.” Now the label has shared Yuck’s cover of “Bled White.” Smith’s original was on his 1998 album XO. Listen to the London band’s cover below.
Yuck‘s third album, Stranger Things, came out back in February via the band’s own Mamé Records. Also, Under the Radar conducted the last ever interview and photo-shoot with Smith before his passing and you can read that here.
