Luna are releasing both a new covers album, A Sentimental Education, and an instrumental EP, A Place of Greater Safety, on September 22 via Double Feature. Previously the band shared a cover of Fleetwood Mac’s “One Together” (the original was found on that band’s 1970 album Kiln House). Now here’s a cover of an obscure Mink DeVille song, “Let Me Dream If I Want To.” The original was a live track recorded at CBGB’s in 1976. Listen to Luna’s take below, followed by the band’s upcoming tour dates, including some freshly announced November dates.

Luna split up in 2005 but reunited in 2015 for some shows. The band haven’t released a new album in 13 years, since 2004’s Rendezvous, although the band’s Dean Wareham and Britta Phillips (who are married) have released some albums as Dean & Britta and last year Phillips released her criminally under-heard debut solo album, Luck or Magic. A Sentimental Education also features covers of songs by The Cure, Mercury Rev, David Bowie, Bob Dylan, and more (the full tracklist is below again).
