M83
M83 (aka Anthony Gonzalez) has announced some reissues. Firstly, today his label Mute has digitally released Saturdays = Youth Remixes and B-Sides. It includes six remixes and one B-side from 2008’s Saturdays = Youth album, all long unavailable tracks. Then on November 20th Mute is reissuing on both CD and vinyl Saturdays = Youth and M83’s first ambient album, 2007’s Digital Shades. Both are out of print. Neither reissue includes bonus material. But a press release does mention that M83 is currently in the studio and working on new music, presumably a new album, which is due for release in 2016.
M83’s last studio album was 2011’s excellent double album Hurry Up, We’re Dreaming. Although since then he’s also worked on movie scores (including the Tom Cruise movie Oblivion).
