M83 (aka Anthony Gonzalez) released his new album, Junk, in April 2016 via Mute. It was our fourth favorite albums of 2016. Now, over a year since its release, M83 has shared a video for “Do It, Try It.” David Wilson directed the video, which takes place at a fast food restaurant branded with the characters that appeared on Junk‘s cover art. Two parents start arguing about what to feed their two children (a son and his younger sister), one parent mouthing the words “do it,” the other “try it.” To escape the fighting, the kids start drawing and then their cartoon heroes come to life in the restaurant. The video originally premiered at the Sundance Next Fest in Los Angeles this past weekend. Watch it below.
We posted two reviews of Junk, one mixed and one rave. Also read our 2016 in-depth cover story on M83.
