As though endless touring behind last year’s excellent album Hurry Up, We’re Dreaming wasn’t enough, today M83 announced another new project—scoring sci-fi film Oblivion. The movie stars Tom Cruise and will be directed by Joseph Kosinski, who also directed like-minded picture, Tron: Legacy. ““I’m not afraid to do my first soundtrack on a big Hollywood movie, with a big budget and a lot of pressure, frontman Anthony Gonzalez told the Playlist, “I like challenges and it excites me more than frightens me.”
The film starts shooting next month in Iceland and is scheduled to hit theaters new April.
