Marshmello is a 26-year-old dance producer from Philadelphia who wears a smiley marshmallow mask when he performs. We have admittedly never covered him before, but now he has shared a new song, “Here With Me,” that is a collaboration with Scottish electro-pop trio CHVRCHES, a band we have covered a lot over the years. The song prominently features the vocals of CHVRCHES’ frontwoman Lauren Mayberry and so we are posting it. The single is out now via Republic. CHVRCHES released a new album, Love Is Dead, in May 2018 via Glassnote. Then in November they released the five-song Hansa Session EP that was recorded in Berlin’s Hansa Studios, the same studio where David Bowie recorded his iconic Berlin trilogy with Brian Eno in the 1970s (Low, “Heroes”, Lodger).
