Hooray For Earth
It was recently announced that Mass Gothic, the new project from former Hooray For Earth frontman Noel Heroux, had signed to Sub Pop. Now Mass Gothic’s debut album has been announced. It will be a self-titled affair and out February 5. Below you can listen to the album’s first single, “Nice Night.” Below that is the album’s tracklist and the band’s tour dates.
Back in November 2014 Hooray For Earth announced their breakup and played their last ever show and then in December released one last song. The band started out as the project of Heroux, but grew into a band. They released two album’s, including 2014’s excellent second album, Racy, which was somewhat criminally overlooked. Because Heroux is the constant in both projects, “Nice Night” really doesn’t sound a million miles away from Hooray For Earth. Mass Gothic was self-produced by the band and mixed by Chris Coady (Beach House, TV on the Radio).
Mass Gothic Tracklist:
1. Mind is Probably
2. Own the Road
3. Want to, Bad
4. Pier Pressure
5. Nice Night
6. Every Night You’ve Got to Save Me
7. Money Counter
8. Territory
9. Soul
10. Subway Phone
