
Matt and Kim Announce “Lightning” Remix Album
Holding Remix Contest For Track "Tonight"

New York duo Matt and Kim have announced that they will release a full-length remix album of their 2011 LP Lightning. While details of the forthcoming revisioning have yet to be shared, from the list of the contributors to its release date, the band has revealed that they will be holding an open contest to anyone and everyone willing to reimagine their Lightning track “Tonight.” Aided by Indaba Music, Matt and Kim have offered up the song stems of the track and will be accepting submissions from Aug. 5 to Sept. 2. From Sept. 3 to Sept. 17, the public will vote for their favorite remix via the Indaba Music contest page. The top three popular vote winners will be awarded a one-year Indaba Pro Membership.
Matt and Kim will choose their own grand prize winner and as well as three runners-up. The winning contestant will have his or her remix released exclusively on Spotify and will be awarded various prizes, including Shure SRH750DJ Headphones, a Shure WHLB WhiteLabel Needle Cartridge, a Shure Record bag, a turntable, and a signed Matt and Kim Lightning Remixes vinyl album. The three runners-up will receive their own Shure SRH750DJ Headphones and a signed Lightning Remixes vinyl album.
