
Mazzy Star Announce “Seasons of Your Day,” First Album in 17 Years

Moody psychedelic duo Mazzy Star have announced the release of Seasons of Your Day, the pair’s first album in 17 years. The long-awaited follow-up to the band’s 1996 LP Among My Swan the new record was co-written and co-produced by founding members David Roback and Hope Sandoval, and will arrive Sept. 24 on their own imprint Rhymes of an Hour. The ten song album will feature the previously released tracks “Common Burn” and “Lay Myself Away,” which were released as a two-sided single last year.
Coinciding with the announcement the band has shared the album’s tracklist (below) and album art (pictured), as well as the effort’s first single, a dark acoustic piece called “California.”
