In celebration of Record Store Day, a yearly celebration in which independently owned record stores collaborate with artists to commemorate the art of music, Merge will release three exclusive 7-inches. There will be one each from Telekinesis and Superchunk, along with a split 7” with The Love Language and Let’s Wrestle. All will be released on April 17. Below are all the details.

Superchunk: “Misfits and Mistakes” b/w “Misfits and Mistakes” (Meatwad Version)

The song was originally released in 2007, but in very limited quantity. Each 7-inch picture disc will include autographs by all four members of Superchunk. It’s Merge’s first and only picture disc. The song was recorded for Aqua Teen Hunger Force Colon Movie Film for Theaters, and the B-side is a version of the song by the character Meatwad!

Telekinesis: “Dirty Thing” b/w “Non-Toxic” & “The Drawback”

These three new tracks will be available on 7-inch vinyl only.

Let’s Wrestle / The Love Language - “I’m So Lazy” b/w “Brittany’s Back (demo version)”

The recent Merge signees Let’s Wrestle and The Love Language will have a split 7-inch featuring brand new songs from both bands. These tracks will also be available only on 7-inch vinyl.
