Mew Return to the U.S. for Headlining Trek
Enact Plan to "Pay it Forward" to Local Bands in Select Cities

In November and December, the Danish art rock unit Mew will bring their stadium-ready tunes from the album-of-the-year contender, No More Stories…, to venues across the U.S. The band has also been tapped by Pixies to support the seminal group at their December 1st Doolittle show at Washington, D.C.‘s Constitution Hall.
Aside from opening for great rock groups and posting creepy/trippy video diaries on their site, the Cophenhagen crew’s planning to keep the good will going by “paying it forward.” (No, not the Kevin Spacey movie.) Mew will be giving local acts in eight different cities on their forthcoming fall tour (see asterisked dates below) a chance to submit their bands to be chosen as direct support for Mew. Check on the band’s website for more information on how local groups can enter to win.
In other news, Jonas Bjerre, Bo Madsen, and Silas Utke Graae Jørgensen recently stopped by AOL Interface to record a few live cuts from their amazing new LP (“Sometimes Life Isn’t Easy” and “Hawaii”) and a post-performance interview. You can check that out here.
