MGMT Share Video for New Song “In the Afternoon”
The Band’s First Ever Independent Release Due Out on 12-Inch in March 2020

MGMT (Andrew VanWyngarden and Ben Goldwasser) have shared a brand new song, “In the Afternoon,” via a video for the track. The song will be released as a 12-inch single in March 2020 as the first release on their new label MGMT Records, making it their first self-release. The B-side will be another new song, “As You Move Through the World.” Both songs were produced by MGMT and mixed by Dave Fridmann. The band self-directed the “In the Afternoon” video, which you can watch below.
MGMT’s last album was 2018’s Little Dark Age, which many viewed as a return to form and was released via Columbia (as were their previous albums).
