Middle Kids Share New Song “Bought It,” Plus They Performed Two Songs on Jimmy Kimmel Live!

Middle Kids are a new Australian band that are signed to Domino. They released their self-titled debut EP via the label in February of last year and are releasing their debut album, Lost Friends, on May 4. Now they have shared another song from the album, “Bought It.” This week they also performed two songs on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, “Mistake” and “On My Knees.” Listen to “Bought It” and watch the Kimmel performances below.

Previously they shared a video for its first single, “Mistake” (which was one of our Songs of the Week), as well as a video for another song from the album, “On My Knees.”

Frontwoman Hannah Joy had this to say about the album in a previous press release: “In a time where a lot of division is growing, we want to be part of the conversation that unites people around certain ideals that are universal, like hope and love. That’s so much a thread throughout this album: Even though things are tough, it’s worth believing in something good and in the idea that we can heal. And in some ways, I wanted the music to be beautiful and a respite from what’s going on.”
