Moby has surprise-released a free new album with his Moby and the Void Pacific Choir project. It’s entitled More Fast Songs About the Apocalypse and was appropriately announced via an amusing press release from a fake spokesman for President Donald Trump, John Miller. In the 1980s and early ‘90s Trump reportedly used to actually pretend to be Miller in phone interviews with the press to hype himself up in the media.
The press release has the subject line “don’t buy new moby album!!” and starts by calling Moby “old and sad.” The press release goes on to say: “i can’t say i like it but it’s there. they made album #1 last year before my boss, donald j. trump (who is a real person, just like me) became the president of the united states. moby artist was invited to inauguration(BIGGEST) but he didn’t. the first album they released is very noisy…as is this second album, just see the title, pretty clear. but it’s like they hate america and think it’s NOT GREAT AGAIN. so, don’t listen to this as i won’t be listening, even though they are giving it away for free! idiots!”
You can read the full press release, on fake White House letterhead, here. And you can download the album for free here.
Moby and the Void Pacific Choir released third first album, These Systems Are Failing, last year. The download also includes that album.
