Moby is releasing a new album, Everything Was Beautiful, And Nothing Hurt, on March 2 via Mute. When the album was announced he shared a video for its first single, “Like a Motherless Child.” Now he has shared a video for another new song from the album, “Mere Anarchy.” The black & white video has a bit of a David Lynch quality to it. Moby describes the video in a press release as such: “Post apocalypse, people are gone, and my friend Julie and I are time traveling aliens visiting the empty Earth.” Watch it below.
A previous press release described Everything Was Beautiful, And Nothing Hurt as such: “The album is a glowing tapestry exploring spirituality, individuality and the brokenness of humanity and finds Moby returning to his orchestral, soul, trip-hop and gospel roots.”
In the not too distant past Moby released two more rock orientated albums credited to Moby and the Void Pacific Choir: 2016’s These Systems Are Failing and this year’s More Fast Songs About the Apocalypse.
