Jul 06, 2011 My Brightest Diamond By Laura Studarus

Opera-pop songstress Shara Worden (who performs as My Brightest Diamond) has announced her third album All Things Will Unwind (out October 18 via Asthmatic Kitty). That’s the album art above. (Is it just us, or does the New York musician resemble a certain Icelandic songstress?)

This album finds Worden playing with new friends, chamber ensemble yMusic (who have also worked with the likes of Bon Iver, Rufus Wainwright, and Antony & the Johnsons). Now a resident of Detroit, Worden found herself ruminating on what the press release calls: class differences, the complexity of the atom, the beginning & end of time, and the experience of becoming a mother.
