My Morning Jacket
While My Morning Jacket is currently enjoying, its members have stayed active. That includes guitarist Carl Broemel, who announced his latest solo album, 4th of July. The album will be released August 19 via Stocks in Asia/Thirty Tigers. You can listen to the album’s first single, “Sleep Lagoon,” below. The album features contributions from Neko Case, Laura Veirs, and bandmates Bo Koster and Tom Blankenship.
“To me, I think the record ended up being about borders and grey areas,” Broemel told Pitchfork. “Those between sleep and wakefulness, between activity and pause, between imagination and reality, between touring and home life.”
