Neon Indian Announces Era Extraña
Due September 13
Jul 18, 2011
Neon Indian
Master of slick psychedelic pop, Alan Palomo (that’s Neon Indian to you) has announced the details of his sophomore album. Titled Era Extraña, (that’s the appropriately glowy album art above), the material was written and recorded last winter in Helsinki, Finland. Palomo helmed the production duties himself, but Flaming Lips collaborator Dave Fridmann headed up post-production duties at his own studio. No word yet on the sound (although more dance ready tunes would probably be a likely bet), but track titles include “Polish Girl,” “Future Sick,” “The Blindside Kiss,” “Hex Girlfriend,” and a (sure to be epic) three-movement piece called: “Heart: Attack,” “Heart: Decay,” and “Heart: Release.”
Look for the project to drop September 13 via Palomo’s own imprint Static Tongues and Mom+Pop.
