Neon Indian (aka Alan Palomo) released his excellent new album, VEGA INTL. Night School, last Friday via Mom + Pop. Now the band has shared a new short film entitled “Slumlord Rising,” which is essentially a music video for the VEGA INTL. Night School tracks “Slumlord” and “Slumlord’s Re-Lease,” which run seamlessly back-to-back on the album as one composition. Tim Nackashi and Palomo directed the clip, which centers of a night at the disco that turns violent and perhaps a little sci-fi. It opens with a long continuous tracking shot that brings to mind Martin Scorsese’s Goodfellas, among others.
