With the anticipated release of their newest album The Take Off And Landing Of Everything on March 11, Elbow has revealed a rather clever means of previewing the album before it hits store shelves. According to the Morning Advertiser the UK band has partnered with UK brewer and pub retailer Marston’s and national retailer Nicholson’s to launch its new ale “Charge,” previewing the album across its 250 pubs on March 5 and 6.
“We’re proud to support pubs with these events and a pint of Charge is the perfect accompaniment to listening to the new album,” says frontman Guy Garvey. “The British pub is an institution and part of the social fabric of communities up and down the country. In the same way that our first beer broke new ground, we hope that these playback events are followed by others and provide another reason to supprt your local.”
