Prince passed away at his home almost exactly a year ago. The music legend left a vault at his Paisley Park estate that is said to contain enough unreleased music to release a new Prince album every year for the next 100 years. This Friday, the one-year anniversary of his death, a six-song Prince EP, entitled Deliverance, will be released that contains songs recorded in 2006 to 2008. The title track, “Deliverance,” has been shared now and can be streamed below. Also below is a Facebook ad for the song, as well as the EP’s tracklist and cover art.
Ian Boxill, an engineer who worked with Prince on records in those years, co-wrote and co-produced the songs with Prince and completed the arrangements, mixes, and production after the singer’s passing. The EP will be out digitally on Friday and on CD June 2 via RMA, with most profits going to the Prince estate.
