New Order
On September 25 New Order are releasing Music Complete, their first studio album in a decade, first for their new label Mute, and first not to feature founding member Peter Hook (but it sees the return of founding member Gillian Gilbert). They have already shared the album’s first single, “Restless,” which is also the album’s opening track and also shared its King Arthur-referencing video. Previously they announced that the song will be released as a single on October 9, but now they have confirmed details of the remixes and have shared “Restless (Agoria Remix),” which you can stream below.
The “Restless” remix package will also include remixes by xxxy, RAC, and Andrew Weatherall, as well as an extended 12-inch mix of the song. A 12-inch green vinyl will be released that includes the extended 12-inch mix and the Agoria and Andrew Weatherall remixes. It will come with a download code for all the remixes.
Music Complete will also be available as 8-piece deluxe vinyl collection that includes the album plus extended versions of all 11 tracks on colored vinyl.
“Restless” doesn’t feature any of the album’s high profile guest vocalists: Brandon Flowers, Iggy Pop, and La Roux’s Elly Jackson. Instead Bernard Sumner takes lead vocals on a song that’s seems to be about always wanting more in our over-stimulated modern world.
Check out “Restless (Agoria Remix)” below, followed by the band’s upcoming European tour dates. Also be sure to pick up Under the Radar’s current print issue to read our interview with New Order’s Bernard Sumner about Music Complete.
