File it under: cool promotions. In honor of the 20th anniversary their 1989 album Doolittle, Pixies are heading out on the road to play the album in its entirety. At the end of every night, the audience will be able to purchase the performance on CD. Well some of them anyway—the run is limited to 1000 per show.

Finally, in the realm of slightly weirder promotions, Goldfrapp has a new pinball iPhone app, where you can remix their music as you play. Says the press release, “a tap of the finger on the iPhone screen powers the ball and sets its path through an imaginary urban environment with towering skyscrapers. As the ball collides with objects different sound samples are triggered, creating a unique remix every time a game is played.” The band also has the professionals hard at work on remixes. Check out the line-up for the “Believer” remix album, out September 7th via Mute.

“Believer” Track List:

1. Believer (Radio Edit)

2. Believer (Joris Voorn Remix)

3. Believer (Joris Voorn Dub)

4. Believer (Vince Clarke Remix)

5. Believer (Vince Clarke Remix (edit))

6. Believer (Little Loud Remix)

7. Believer (Subway Remix)

8. Believer (Davide Rossi Reinterpretation)

Hi,
I want to download a good pinball app that’s 99 cents or free. The reviews for most of the apps are bad. What pinball app is actually good?

These days Neil Young has taken to releasing albums whenever and however frequently he chooses. Goodness knows, he’s earned the right. In a career that is creeping up on five decades, Young has firmly established himself as the ultimate artist and a cornerstone of rock and roll, perhaps second only to Bob Dylan in terms of artistic integrity, songwriting excellence, and continued musical and cultural relevance

In fact, I’m just starting out in management media and working on to find out how to do it well - resources like this blog post are a great resource. As our website is based in the US, is kind of new to us The reference mention is something that I worry about as well, how to show your own real enthusiasm and share to the community.

The Remiix team continues our quest into the foray of mobile music making apps. Is pinball music to some people’s ears? Goldfrapp would probably say yes!

Thanks a ton all for this great material.
