Nice As Fuck (Jenny Lewis’ New Band) Share Video for “Door”

Nice As Fuck Debut Album Out Now

Jul 28, 2016 The Strokes

Nice As Fuck (aka NAF), is a new band featuring Jenny Lewis, Au Revoir Simone’s Erika Forster, and The Like’s Tennessee Thomas. The band recently surprised-released their self-titled debut album. Before that, they made their live debut at a Bernie Sanders benefit and went out on tour opening for M. Ward. Now the band have shared a video for “Door.” It takes place at Thomas’ Deep End Club in the East Village, New York. The band fights a corrupt landlord (played by The Strokes’ Albert Hammond Jr.) to keep the club open. In real life the Deep End is being shut down this weekend. Adam Green also cameos. Watch below via Noisey (who premiered it).

The band issued a statement about the video: “Here’s the video for ‘Door’ filmed in the Deep End Club, where the songs were written, surrounded by members of our activated community. The Deep End Club closes its ‘Door’ this weekend after three years, but its message of Peace & Love will continue on in many forms.”

Lewis’ most recent album was 2014’s The Voyager. Read our interview with Lewis on the creation of the album, as well as our 2008 cover story on her.
