Seminal alt-rock group Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds are following through with the reissuing of their complete discography, announcing today the upcoming release of the remastered editions of the band’s eigth, ninth, 10th, and 11th studio albums. Cave’s critically acclaimed Let Love In (1994), Murder Ballads (1996), The Boatman’s Call (1997), and No More Shall We Part (2001) will be released as separate two-disc collector’s editions on May 17. Each edition includes the original album, the remastered version, a short film produced by U.K. artists Iain Forsyth and Jane Pollard, and exclusive B-sides, singles and sleeve notes.
The remastering of Let Love In, Murder Ballads, The Boatman’s Call, and No More Shall We Part is the latest series in Cave’s project to refine his entire discography. The first three consecutive albums in the re-mastered deluxe edition series—From Her to Eternity, The Firstborn Is Dead, and Kicking Against the Pricks—were released in 2009, followed by Your Funeral…My Trial, Tender Prey, The Good Son, and Henry’s Dream in 2010.
