Nick Cave has announced a new Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds album, Ghosteen, that is due out next week. Cave announced the news on his website www.theredhandfiles.com where he answers fan questions. The announcement was in response to a fan named Joe and his question “When can we expect a new album?” Cave revealed that it’s a double album, adding: “The songs on the first album are the children. The songs on the second album are their parents.” Below are the album’s tracklist and above is its cover art. Also below are Cave’s upcoming tour dates, where it’s an evening of talk and music, where he takes questions from the audience and performs on piano.
The band’s last full-length album was 2016’s Skeleton Tree. There’s no word if the exact release date is next Friday, October 4. Cave says that part one of the album has eight songs and part two “consists of two long songs, linked by a spoken word piece.”
