Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds (aka former Oasis guitarist/singer/songwriter Noel Gallagher) has announced a new EP, Black Star Dancing, and shared its dance-y title track. The Black Star Dancing EP is due out June 14 digitally and on 12-inch vinyl via Sour Mash/Caroline. Listen to “Black Star Dancing” below, followed by the EP’s tracklist and cover art, as well as Gallagher’s upcoming U.S. tour dates with The Smashing Pumpkins (the EP is also timed to when Gallagher headlines the Isle of Wight Festival in UK on the same day as its release).

Gallagher had this to say about “Black Star Dancing” in a press release: “It manages to combine the influences of David Bowie, INXS, U2, Queen, Indeep AND ZZ Top FFS! ... I might have been watching too much Top of the Pops recently ... anyway, it’s ‘dope’ ... not my words, but the words of Nile Rodgers who literally danced in the studio when he heard it!”

Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds’ last album, Who Built the Moon?, came out back in 2017 via Sour Mash/Caroline.
