Former Oasis guitarist/singer/songwriter Noel Gallagher is releasing a new solo album under the Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds name, Who Built the Moon?, on November 24 via Sour Mash/Caroline. Now he has shared another song from the album, “It’s a Beautiful World,” via a lyric video that features images of Earth, the moon, and the universe. The pleasing track features an interlude with a female spoken word section in French midway through. Watch/listen below, followed by Gallagher’s upcoming U.S. tour dates.

Previously Gallagher shared the album’s first single, the upbeat psych-pop number “Holy Mountain,” as well as a video for the song. Then he shared a lyric video for the album’s opening track, “Fort Knox,” which was far-removed from his Oasis work, and instead sounded like something you’d find on one of Primal Scream’s more dance-y albums.

David Holmes produced Who Built the Moon? Gallagher had this to say about “Holy Mountain” in a previous press release: “It was one of the first things David and I did on the first week of working together. I knew instantly that it was going to be the first single. There’s so much joy in it. Until the day I die, it will be one of my favorite pieces of music that I’ve ever written. It sounds great live. My kids love it, my friends’ kids all love it and I am sure ‘the kids’ will love it.”

Holmes had this to say about the album in the previous press release: “People are going to be surprised. I think people love Noel and they’re desperate for him to make a really big, bold, up-tempo beast of a record - a lot of Noel’s music is quite mid-tempo. This one is fun.”

To illustrate the creative process, Noel Gallagher had this to say about album track “The Man Who Built the Moon” in the previous press release: “We took a keyboard riff we liked from an unused track and added chords. A year later we came to deal with it as a song and when we got to the chorus, David kept asking me to write a new one….again and again and again. I was ready to strangle him. The one that you hear is the eighth attempt and, you know what? The annoying thing is he was right.”

Johnny Marr plays guitar and harmonica on “If Love Is the Law,” which also features Paul Weller on organ. The album is the follow-up to 2015’s Chasing Yesterday.

Former Oasis singer, and Noel Gallagher’s estranged younger brother, Liam Gallagher released his debut solo album, As You Were, last month via Warner Bros.
