Oneohtrix Point Never (aka Daniel Lopatin) has announced a new album, Age Of, which is due out June 1 via Warp. His last full on album was 2015’s Garden of Delete, although in 2016 he released the soundtrack to the film Good Time via Warp. Below is the tracklist and cover art for Age Of, followed by Lopatin’s upcoming shows as part of his MYRIAD instillation (check out the trailer for that below too).
A press release describes the album as such: “It’s Daniel Lopatin’s most cohesive and richly composed work to date, weaving a tapestry of disparate musical histories—early music, country and folk balladry, melodic pop, computer music and much, much more—that demonstrate both the complexity and range of the artist’s repertoire. With sounds that are unsettlingly familiar and uniquely his own, Age Of guides us through an unclassifiable new world.”
