OutKast’s Andre 3000 and Big Boi Announce Solo Projects, Potential New OutKast Album
New OutKast Will Depend on Fan Support
Dec 09, 2009
OutKast
Big Boi and Andre 3000 are striking out on their own. But don’t despair OutKast fans—the time apart isn’t permanent. There might be a new OutKast album on the way in 2010.
As reported by Billboard, after leaking tracks for a year and a half, Big Boi will be releasing his solo effort, Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty. The album will include contributions from bandmate Andre 3000, Mary J. Bilge, Jamie Foxx, and George S. Clinton, among others.
This will be immediately followed by a still-untitled Andre 3000 album. Then, and only then—as Big Boi tells Billboard—“depending on how the fans support them, then we’re gonna give them the OutKast album.”
OutKast fans, the future is in your hands.
