According to his Twitter and Pitchfork, British avant-pop musician/Bandstock user/Under the Radar favorite Patrick Wolf was arrested and accosted (read: “almost shot in the face”) after his San Francisco concert Monday night. Wolf’s representatives weren’t able to give any further details regarding the arrest beyond what’s on his Twitter, though we’re told that his current tour will continue unabated.
Supposedly, the arrest came after Wolf spat in a bouncer’s face (“in protection of myself”). Here’s Wolf account, according to a series of Twitter posts:
“Was arrested by san fran police for spitting in a bouncers face in protection of myself. Was almost shot in the face by a policeman. WTF?”
“was told by the policeman ‘take your shitty ass music out of this city and if you ever step off that tour bus you will be ***** ******** ‘“
“feeling very thelma and louise right now.. must sleep… not allowed off the bus or i will be shot by a policeman. this country is insane!!!”
“btw. apparently my spit DEFINITELY contains ‘hiv, swine flu and hepatitis’ that is why my spit is a deadly weapon according to police here!”
Despite all that happened after the Slim’s show, Wolf is not in jail. (After all, you can’t logon to Twitter from behind bars.) In fact, he’s Tweeted several times hence: “had an amazing dream that mick jagger asked me to move in with him in a little cottage in richmond. I think we had just got married.” “I have crossed over the dark side! I went on a shopping spree in amoeba today and bought an akon cd! this guys music cracks me up so much xp”
