The New Pornographers latest video boasts a star-studded cast of A-listers (Paul Rudd), SNL veterans (Bill Hader, Horatio Sanz), TV actors (John Hodgman, Donald Glover) and punk-rock musician Ted Leo. Going along with the Hollywood theme, the video is fashion after a movie trailer, complete with the superimposition of cheesy taglines.
“Moves” even kicks off with a promo for a fake comedy titled “Expectant Dads” and starring Rudd and Hader, showing the two funny-men donning oddly placed baby bumps. We almost wish it was real. Almost.
