The Modfather himself, Paul Weller, has announced a new album, True Meanings. It is the 14th solo album from the former frontman to The Jam and The Style Council and is fittingly due out September 14, via Parlophone/Warner Bros. It includes “Aspects,” a song Weller shared back in May in honor of his 60th birthday. Below is the album’s tracklist, as well as the lyric video for “Aspects.” Above is the cover art.

Weller self-produced most of the album at his Black Barn Studio, with exception of “The Soul Searchers,” which was co-produced by Weller and Conor O’Brien of Villagers, and “Movin On,” which was co-produced by Weller and White Label. O’Brien also wrote the lyrics to “The Soul Searchers.” Erland Cooper from Erland & The Carnival wrote the lyrics to three songs on the album: “Bowie,” “Wishing Well,” and “White Horses.” The other 10 songs were written by Weller.

True Meanings includes various special guests, including Noel Gallagher, Rod Argent of The Zombies, Martin Carthy, Danny Thompson, Little Barrie, and Lucy Rose.
