Pepper Rabbit announced today the follow-up LP to their 2010 debut album Beauregard, which launched the L.A.-based duo of Xander Singh and Luc Laurent onto the national independent music stage last year. As such, one can only harbor high expectetaions for Red Velvet Snow Ball, which will be released Aug. 9 on Kanine. In the band’s press release, Singh states the most imporant aspect of the forthcoming album is “the freedom we gave ourselves to experiment and construct something that’s easy to get lost in.” Add to that the fact that 11 instruments were used on this record and consider our interest piqued.

Pepper Rabbit also released today the album art (above) and tracklist (below) for Red Velvet Snow Ball.
