October 1-5, Music and Food

Taken By Trees
What’s better than pop pleasures? How about free food and pop pleasures? Peter Bjorn and John have got you covered. Today the Swedish trio—still hot on the promotional trail for this year’s Gimme Some—announced the details of their All You Can eat LA tour. Four nights (October 1, 3, 4, 5) will see the band playing sold out shows at the Troubadour, The Smell, and The Echo (grab your tickets to the El Rey show, quick!). In addition to tunes, each venue will have food trucks parked outside, where fans can grab themselves a free snack—provided they know the secret phrase. (Now may be a good time to follow the band on Twitter to stay in the know.)
Food trucks not your thing? PB&J are also indulging in their arty sides while in LA. The band have a special “Gimme Some Exhibition” opening on September 29. In addition to free Pabst Blue Ribbon (hipster alert!) The band, and pal Victoria Bergsman (who you might know as Taken By Trees, or that girl who sings on “Young Folks) will be doing a special DJ set.
