Swedish trio Peter Bjorn and John released a new album, Darker Days, back in October via INGRID. Now they have announced some U.S. tour dates for this April and a new EP, EPBJ, which is due out February 22 via INGRID. The EP has three previously unreleased songs from the Darker Days sessions: “Bones,” “Darker Days” (presumably initially intended as the album’s title track), and “Saying Goodbye.” A press release says the songs “showcase a softer and more introspective side of the band.” Tickets for their U.S. tour go on sale this Friday at 10 a.m. local time. Previously Peter Bjorn and John shared three new songs from Darker Days at once, one each from each member: “One For The Team,” “Gut Feeling,” and “Every Other Night” (“Gut Feeling” was one of our Songs of the Week). Then they shared videos for each song (which you could watch all at once or separately). Then they shared a fourth single from the album, “Wrapped Around the Axle,” via a lyric video.

Darker Days is the follow-up to 2016’s Breakin’ Point. A previous press release described the album as such: “The title was the starting point and became the central theme of the album, with each member bringing their interpretation into the studio and playing on each other’s songs. Each member’s take on darkness is distinctive, Peter tackling what’s happening in the world right now, Björn delving into relationship issues, and John, the most existential, exploring the shadows of our own psyche.”
