Phoenix Announce First Show in Three Years, at Bilbao BBK Live Festival
Festival in Spain July 6-8, 2017
Nov 17, 2016
Phoenix
We haven’t heard much from France’s Phoenix since the release of their last album, 2013’s Bankrupt! But yesterday we reported that they had updated the profile photos on their social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Instagram) to the same CMYK image, while their website has also been updated with a different image. Further fueling speculation that a new album from them might be coming next year, the Bilbao BBK Live Festival in Spain has announced that Phoenix are one of the headliners of next year’s festival, which goes down July 6-8, 2017.
The festival’s bookers must be happy with the attention the lineup is getting this year, as the announcement earlier this week that Fleet Foxes were playing also fueled talk that their long awaited new album was also coming out in 2017. The rest of the lineup announced so far includes Depeche Mode, Daphni, Die Antwoord, Andrew Weatherall, Two Door Cinema Club, DJ Tennis, Marvin & Guy. While we wait for new Phoenix music, below are some of their previous videos.
