Italian-born but Los Angeles-based musician Porcelain Raft (aka Mauro Remiddi) has announced his third full-length album, Microclimate, and shared its first single, “Distant Shore.” Microclimate will be released on February 3, 2017 on Porcelain Raft’s own label, Volcanic Field. Below you can stream “Distant Shore,” another gorgeous hazy pop number from Remiddi. Also below is the album’s tracklist and cover art, followed by some current tour dates opening for England’s Wild Beasts.
Remiddi recorded Microclimate in his studio in East LA’s Highland Park neighborhood. Chris Coady (Future Islands, Beach House), Remiddi’s longtime collaborator, mixed the album at the Sunset Sounds Studios. There will be a special limited edition run of 250 colored vinyl. A press release describes Microclimate “his biggest sounding and most expansive collection of songs to date.”
