Aesop Rock
This Friday, August 11th, Lakeshore Records will release Bushwick—Original Motion Picture Soundtrack, which features an original instrumental score by underground hip hop legend Aesop Rock.
Set in the Brooklyn neighborhood of the same name, the film follows a young woman (Brittany Snow) who steps out of the subway to find the borough under attack by black-clad soldiers. She befriends an ex-Marine (Dave Bautista) who reluctantly joins the fight in an unexpected American cival war. Directed by Cary Murnion and Jonathan Milott, Bushwick hits theaters on August 25th from RLJ Entertainment. (You can check out the movie’s trailer at the end of this post.)
Under the Radar is eager to premiere “Riot Riot,” a track from Aesop Rock’s Bushwick score. Listen via the stream below for a preview of the atmospheric instrumentals Aesop Rock composed for the film.
Aesop Rock will play a special show celebrating the release of the film and its soundtrack at Brooklyn’s Music Hall of Williamsburg on August 23rd. For tickets, click here.
