Premiere: Chaos Chaos – “Love” Video
Meaningful Eye Contact
Feb 13, 2015 Chaos Chaos
Just in time for Valentines Day, Chaos Chaos has released a video for their single “Love.” In it, the sisters roam New York City, making some seriously meaningful eye contact with strangers.
“After we read the NY Times article ‘The 36 Questions That Lead to Love’ we were inspired to test the theory that it’s possible to fall in love with a stranger,” says the band of the video’s inspiration. “We thought it’d be interesting to just wander the streets of NY being filmed staring into the eyes of random strangers. I honestly felt like I had a little moment of love with each of them. What was most fascinating was that I felt like I really got to know these people just by looking into their eyes. When you first meet someone you usually begin to put up a front by having meaningless small talk and neither of you are listening to what the other is saying. Through staring at these strangers I got to know them at a deeper and more intimate level than I ever knew was possible on a first impression basis. We made the video into a social experiment that we were curious about. I kinda scared myself though, because now I feel like all it takes for me to fall in love is eye contact.”
