Begin Again, the latest film from writer-director John Carney (Once), is now available on home video. The movie stars Keira Knightley as a songwriter who finds herself adrift in New York City following a breakup with her longterm boyfriend and writing partner (Adam Levine). A washed-up record executive (Mark Ruffalo) notices her talent and takes her under his wing with a wild plan to record her debut album live on the streets, rooftops, and subway platforms of New York. The collaboration proves to be life-changing for the both of them. When Begin Again hit theaters last summer, we praised the film for avoiding easy tropes and felt that it offered a refreshing angle on the romantic musical.
Under the Radar is premiering an exclusive behind-the-scenes clip from Begin Again’s DVD bonus features. In the video below, Adam Levine talks about taking his real-life experience as a musician and channeling it into playing one on film.
Begin Again is out today on Blu-ray and DVD from Anchor Bay. For more information about the movie, check out its website.
