Premiere: French For Rabbits Mixtape (Iceland Airwaves Edition)
Festival Runs Nov 4-8 in Reykjavik, Iceland
Oct 23, 2015 French For Rabbits
Feeling daydreamy? So is French For Rabbits. We asked the band to make us a mix in honor of their Iceland Airwaves set, and they came with a beguiling blend featuring Sufjan Stevens, Hundred Waters, and Mazzy Star.
“These songs are a mixture of things I have loved for a long time, and things I think are rad that I discovered in the last year,” says French For Rabbits member, Brooke Singer. “I’m very excited to see Hundred Waters at Airwaves, we listened to their album a lot this year while we were mixing a set of new songs. I went to see Sufjan at the Sydney Opera house recently, and it was an amazing concert. The Broken Heartbreakers and Glass Vaults are two New Zealand bands that I think make music that is really, really great! Glass Vaults music is especially good for window gazing.”
Listen below. Then catch up with the previous mixes in our series from M-Band, Vök, Tonik Ensemble, Bo Ningen, Anna B. Savage, LA Priest, Sea Change and Sin Fang. Coming with us to Airwaves! Sweet.
