We’re excited to premiere “The Ballad of Bobbie and Jude,” the main theme for the movie Animals. The song (and much the film’s originial soundtrack) is by founding Passion Pit keyboardist and guitarist Ian Hultquist, who studied film scoring at the prestigious Berklee College of Music before his former band’s meteoric rise. In recent years he’s returned to composing film music, including the documentaries Ivory Tower and Thought Crimes.

Animals - Original Motion Picture Soundtrack features 10 new tracks that Hultquist composed for the movie, as well as songs by Pyyramids, The Pentagons, and The Life and Times. A full tracklist can be found below alongside the film’s trailer.

Lakeshore Records will release the soundtrack digitally on May 12th, and on CD August 14th. Oscilloscope Labs will release the film on May 15th.
