Musician, producer, and Mo’ Wax label founder James Lavelle — best known to the musically-devoted as the longest-tenured member of the electronic act UNKLE — composed the score for the television miniseries Trust, which premiered on FX earlier this year. Soon his full, atmospheric soundtrack for the show will be available digitally from Lakeshore Records, ready for download starting Friday, November 9th.

Fans of Lavelle’s work as part of UNKLE will readily embrace Trust‘s instrumental score, which slides in right alongside his prior work. Take for instance “Theme from Trust (Shadow Beat),” premiered exclusively below, with its propulsive electronic beats overlaid by lush strings, which sets a grand, sweeping tone befitting of the series’ subject matter—dropping out from under the listener at its end with an affecting, melancholic piano melody. (Trust tracked the lives of the famous Getty famous, one of America’s wealthiest, yet most tragic clans.)

Trust‘s 10 episodes debuted on FX starting last March. The series starred Donald Sutherland, Hilary Swank, Harris Dickinson and Brendan Fraser, and was executive produced by Danny Boyle.
