Toronto-based singer/songwriter Jonathan K has shared “Best Before,” the lead single from his debut album In Memory Of…, and we are pleased to premiere it. “It’s nothing/I don’t want to talk about it/It’s something trite/To do the things I like to do/Well maybe it’s already through,” Jonathan gently intones over an undulating guitar melody that envelops the listener into a place of serenity or resignation or maybe both. Check out the track and single cover art along with tour dates below.

In Memory Of…, his debut album, is a rumination on and tribute to his relationship with best friend and former bandmate, Brendan, who suffered from addiction and sadly passed away. Leaving the Bahamas where he had been living, Jonathan relocated to Toronto in an attempt at forging a fresh start. Once there he created the projects Elsa and The Seams each of which had two releases on Mike Haliechuck’s (Fucked Up) One Big Silence Label. The exact release date of In Memory Of… has yet to be determined.

Jonathan K Tour Dates:

03/07 - The Delancey · New York, New York
03/08 - Pianos - New York, New York
